I love the veggie sandwich. The person I was with and I ordered a couple of the coctails that are discounted for happy hour. But we didn't them send back. Just chalked it up to lesson learned and ordered beer the next round.

Got the bill and noticed we were charged twice the amount advertised in the menu for one of the bad drinks. We pointed this out to the waitress who replied blankly to us that we had ordered the large.

We were pointing to the happy hour menu when ordering and didn't even know there was a large. We told her we hadn't asked for a large and didn't even know there was one, but it seemed so clearly to be something she had done intentionally although I have no way of knowing. I call shenanigans. And stupid shenanigans at that because we just subtracted the price difference from her tip.

It was really obnoxious behavior though, especially considering the drinks were not that palatable. The experience really soured me on this place. Greetings, To anyone who doubts that time machines and record stores are mutually exclusive, or in fact may not exist, just, for your own clarification, travel to downtown Austin and go to Waterloo Music.

In a nanosecond you can travel seamlessly from to and actually have kind, informed, pleasant travel attendants to guide you on your journey I've even gotten great suggestions from fellow searchers.

I not only recommend it, if you do go, it is you misfortune I have enjoyed many a breakfast at the Waterloo Ice on Burnet Rd as it is near my office.

The other day I noticed on the Waterloo sign ""try our chili"". What a mistake! Has the manager tried it lately. He or she needs to. I would be happy to drop off a recipe cause your chili is terrible.

They have a great selection of a ton of different kinds of music and I LOVE that they don't sort by genre, just alphabetically. In these days of blurred lines between genres it's sometimes hard to tell what section to look in. When it's all listed alphabetically it makes it a lot easier to find what you need.

Yay Waterloo! If you find yourself out on a Tuesday evening, go to Waterloo on 38th St. It makes for a fun night out for food and entertainment all under one roof. The salad with apples and walnuts is delicious. The gig starts at around seven o'clock. I can't pass through Austin without stopping at Waterloo to get all the albums I can't find at other places.

They truly love music at Waterloo. The store is a music-lovers dream, with local artists featured as prominently or more so than big acts. I was trying to show my houston friends some local austin flavor so we went here when Z tejas was too busy I will not go here again and will not recommend it at all.

I'm just sorry I didnt go to whole foods across the street -- yeah they have it in houston but i can almost guarantee the food would have been better. It's been awhile since I have been in a record store that went without the pretentious feel of the big warehouses in LA but on a recent trip to Austin I found this record store to be just what I was looking for.

A great selection, low key sales people that know their stuff, and just a general atmosphere that is comfortable to shop in. I will be back for sure. The staff I have dealt with in the shop are a bit rude when it comes to music. Snot-nosed, rather, know-it-alls, if you will. If you likr big name music, mean anything that is produced by a big label or well known band, the place is not for you. Goin in there is a bit like Romper Room.
