Things are pretty poor in every respect. Teachers have to rely on parents to step up and volunteer in the classrooms because there isn't a single teacher's aid from K In some cases some 8thgrade students didn't even have teachers so they were sent to spend the day in kindergarten. Over-worked teachers often yell at the children out of frustration.
If a child doesn't eat fast enough, even if they are obviously eating, their tray is dumped and they go back to class hungry. To improve this school, it would have to have an increase of funding to hire teacher's aids. Teachers need to be rotated out of cafeteria duty. Modern pedagogy techniques need to be used instead of relying on old-standard ideas that haven't worked for decades.
